Horizon Housing Development Company (HHDC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling its mission:

Horizon Housing provides housing and comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by disabilities and homelessness in the St. Louis area.

With ten buildings located within the City of St. Louis, Horizon Housing offers permanent supportive housing for men, women, and families with developmental and mental disabilities who are experiencing homelessness. Horizon Housing upholds the belief that housing is a fundamental human right. Those served by HHDC receive care marked by compassion, dignity, respect, and choice. Each individual’s journey through Horizon’s supportive housing program is tailored to their specific needs, supported by our person-centered, trauma-informed approach to housing coordination and care.

Horizon Housing envisions a world where people and families impacted by disabilities and homelessness are housed within a supportive community, where they develop the skills to achieve self-reliance, and transition to permanent housing, sustaining themselves and their families.

As a member of the Continuum of Care (CoC), Horizon Housing fosters connections and collaboration with other service providers, funders, and healthcare professionals to ensure that all available resources are shared with the unhoused community. This collaboration promotes stability and long-term success for those Horizon Housing serves.
